July is the Month of Guelaguetza and is a time when Oaxaca truly comes alive.

This is a festival by the people, for the people and celebrates all things Oaxaca.

There are 8 regions of Oaxaca and each has their own dance, their unique foods and traditions. During these weeks you'll get to experience all of it in one place - Oaxaca!

SoMos CaSa Oaxaca

You will stay in one of our four beautiful Rooms in the SoMos CaSa:

Frida: King Bed and private bathroom with hammock balcony

Corazon: King bed & Trundle with shared bathroom (with Alma) and balcony

Alma: King Bed & Montessori Floor Bed with shared bathroom (w/ Corazon) and balcony

Oaxaca: Queen Bed and Private ensuite with balcony

Nanny Care is daily (Sun-Fri) from 9-5 unless otherwise stated

Breakfast is provided Daily for all and Dinner on days where there is no babysitting. Lunch is only provided on Sunday and Thursday if you opt into the cooking class.

All meals are provided at the CaSa for the Children.

Arrival Day

Before your arrival we will create a WhatsApp group where we will stay in touch as you begin your journey to join us.

We will meet you from the airport - make sure you communicate your flight information to us and stay in touch with any delays.

We will bring you to the CaSa.

Check in is at 3pm.

Dinner will be served at 5:30 (or a snack will await our late arrivals!

Day 2 - Saturday

Our massage therapists will arrive and you will enjoy a traditional Zapotec massage on our roof terraza overlooking the mountains

Parade Day

The big Guelaguetza parade is tonight - this is where all of the different regions come together to dance and celebrate. You'll see all of the costumes, all of the dances and truly see how this city celebrates. Mezcal, cheese and bread are all shared with the onlookers. It's an incredible spectacle!

Time for you

Our Nannies arrive at 9am.

There are lots of activities happening in town. We will have different options for you such as going to the mole or mezcal festivals. Heading to park Llano to try some delicacies. As we get closer to the time we will have an itinerary of the Festival and will make sure our options include the very best of activities!

Feel free to bring the children and a nanny or leave them to play at the CaSa.

Our nannies will stay through the evening so that you can enjoy dinner in Centro at one of the amazing restaurants.

Day 4 - Monday

Carlos will take you to some of his favorite places in Oaxaca where you will try many different foods made by locals. You will also explore the Barrios of Jalatlaco & Xochimilco where you will see beautiful street art.

While the adults are sampling Street Food the children will be learning about Cacao and making their very own chocolates!

Hierve al Agua

We will take you to Hierve al Agua which is famous for its mountain top pools and petrified waterfalls

You'll have time to take pictures and laze in the healing waters

We will go to lunch in a place of your choice (we give you options) and then if everyone has energy left we will make a stop on the way back to the CaSa (again we will give you options!)

Dinner will be served on your return to the CaSa

Learn Oaxacan Favorites with Rosa

Our Chef Rosa will teach you how to make some simple Oaxacan dishes so that you can take a piece of Oaxaca home with you.
Memelas, Salsas, Guac, Frijoles and more... fun for adults and children alike.

When everything is ready you'll all sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

In the evening the Nannies will stay to watch the children so you can enjoy a night out in Centro.

Enjoy some time to yourself on your last day in Oaxaca.

The Mariachi will be at the casa at 5:30 to play you out in style as you enjoy a BBQ on the Terraza.
