Our massages begin with a limpia ceremony which is followed by a one hour traditional Zapotec massage on our beautiful terraza. This massage is relaxing and rejuvenating. The breeze flows over you as your cares melt away.

We will start the day with some Muertos themed crafts and the children will have the option to go swimming (providing they are potty trained!)

Chocolate Making for the kids

Time10:00am

Not all kids want to traipse around town on the food tour. Our chocolate making class with muertos themed chocolates will be just the ticket for our little chefs.

Cemetery Visit

Let's go and see a fully decorated Cemetery on the most celebrated night of the year. You'll noticed that the mood is not overly somber. During this time we remember our loved ones and share beautiful memories and stories with one another. Feel free to bring a picture of your loved ones to add to our altar at the CaSa

Some Time for YOU

What will you do with your free time today?

Perhaps you'd like to go to Monte Alban? Maybe you'd like to experience a Temazcal. We are happy to help you plan the perfect day while we occupy and entertain the children. It's also an option to bring the nannies with you on an adventure for the kids!

Some suggestions for your free time:

Head to Subterraneo and take a lino print workshop. You'll create your own piece of art to take home. (You collect it the next day!)

Learn about Mexican wine by taking a local workshop with the Mezcal Mole guys (that's also a good option!)

Book a photo shoot with one of our recommended photographers and take home some forever memories of your trip

Fabric Dyeing Workshop for the children

We will use cempasuchil to dye fabric using traditional methods. Arrange the petals in the way you'd like to see your design and watch it come to life.

Dinner in Centro

Our child care goes into the evening. Take advantage and go and enjoy a meal in the town. We will feed the children, play some games, read them stories and hopefully get them to sleep!

Hierve al Agua

Time9am

We will go on an adventure to Hierve al Agua - a waterfall frozen in time surrounded by refreshing dipping pools. The view up here is incredible.

Hierve sits just 150meters higher than Oaxaca but you'll feel as though you are at the top of the world with breathtaking views into the Valley.

It's just a short walk down to the pools.

After a swim we love to grab some delicious mangoes (they're always so tasty here) and a fresh coconut to rehydrate before heading to a lunch spot on the way home.

Cooking class with Rosa

activity icon

Cooking Class

Time10:30am

Join Rosa in the kitchen and learn to make foods that are typical of the season.

Kids love to get involved - making their own tortillas and getting to eat the delicious fruits of their labor.

Rosa is an excellent chef and has been making Oaxacan food since she was a little girl. Her dishes use ingredients that can easily be found at home - meaning her food is easy to recreate when you get back!

Dinner in Oaxaca

Childcare continues into the evening. Please take advantage and head to enjoy some Kid Free time in town or at a nearby Restaurant.
