About this trip

Join us for the SoMos SuMMer CaMP in OaXaca.


Our SuMMer CaMp runs from 9-5, Mon - Friday so that you can work, explore or relax. 


Weekends will be for families to spend time together and experience the beautiful city together. 


Please message us if you would like to come for the 1 week option and we will send you a separate link.

Frida is our Master Bedroom with a hammock balcony and a king sized bed which we can split into twins for you upon request. 


Frida has an en suite bathroom. 


Frida can sleep a MAX of 2 guests

We have added a $150 returnable deposit to the cost of our trips.  There is a list of pricing for sheets/towels/items in your room and the cost to replace them. If nothing is damaged you will receive $150 back right after your stay. Adding a returnable deposit enables us to keep the pricing of the Retreats stable. Thank you for your understanding.

Corazon shares a bathroom with Alma.

Somos Retreats was an amazing experience. Tania is a wellspring of information and quickly and professionally made me feel at home in Oaxaca. Her staff –– Rosa, Lolita, and Dulce were incredible experts who efficiently and lovingly cared for the home, children, and made sure that we were nurtured and supported during our stay at Tania's Casa. The retreat activities allowed for a wide variety of experiences that celebrated various facets of Oaxaca's culture. As a single parent, it was such a gift to explore the Monte Alban ruins without having to worry about my son's care, or getting a ride to the location–– everything was taken care of and this enabled me to breathe more easily and to concentrate on my new surroundings. I highly recommend Somos Retreats for anyone looking to have a nuanced experience in Oaxaca while providing the utmost care for your child. Every part of this trip was well-curated, well-supported, and flexible. The Casa was comfortable, elegant, and with a wonderful Oaxaca flavor that was noticeable in so many beautiful details –– from the wonderful hammock in the terraza to the beautiful indoor pool where my son and I took a refreshing mid-day dip. In short, it was amazing and I would do it again.

I spent a week in Oaxaca at a SoMos retreat just this past week. It was beyond words amazing. Tania has crafted an experience that truly gives single moms a rich cultural experience and a true restful vacation. The staff of SoMos are local and I immediately felt so comfortable with the nannies caring for my child and the genuine care they gave to me. The food was beyond delicious and healthy and they made sure my daughter always had options with foods she loved. The city is interesting and the locals are welcoming. I could just go on and on. You will not be disappointed if you book a week at SoMos!

Attending a SoMos Retreat in Oaxaca with my 2.5 year old son was absolutely perfect! As a single mom, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to enjoy a vacation together and have time for myself. Tania has curated such a unique experience. The Casa was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The food was prepared for us with care and love. My son was so happy to play in the Casa’s outdoors space with the nannies and other kiddos during our time there. I appreciate that the itinerary included a balance of time on planned excursions, downtime to relax, and time to explore the beautiful city of Oaxaca on my own, with the other mama there for the week, and with my son. I felt well cared for during every minute of our time in the Casa and felt safe exploring the city. The staff was top notch, and Tania was available anytime to answer our questions. My son and I made such wonderful memories together on the vacation and hope to make it back to another SoMos Retreat in Oaxaca soon.

We had an amazing time in Oaxaca with our family! This trip made it possible to enjoy an authentic travel experience with our small kids (age 1 and ~3) all while getting the benefit of having some time without them too. We loved having a built-in support network and people who knew where to go. Our kids had a great time with the nannies and were able to do lots of unique fun things with them, all while improving their Spanish. Tania was incredibly helpful and flexible when accommodating our travel requests and so lovely to be around. We would absolutely consider coming back!
